Flsa Agreement

As noted earlier, exempt employees are not permitted to work overtime under the FSL. However, some of the SSM collective agreements provide for the possibility of overtime for certain workers covered by the agreement. These employees include: for all hours worked for more than 40 hours per work week, employees receive overtime equal to one and a half times the employee`s standard rate (WAC 357-28-260). Paid leave is not considered working time for unpresented workers. If you are represented, employers and workers should check collective agreements to verify specific requirements for eviction of working hours and eligibility for overtime. As for workers without union contracts or other employment contracts, “under the FLSA, employers generally only have to pay workers for the hours they actually work, whether at home or at the employer`s office,” the DOL said. The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the Washington Minimum Wage Act (WMWA) set minimum standards that can be exceeded, but cannot be repealed or reduced. The FLSA is a federal law; wmwa is national law.

Employers must comply with any federal, state or local laws, regulations, regulations or collective agreements or directives implemented by the employer that provide benefits greater than those established by the FLSA.
