The EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement is an ambitious pact that aims to eliminate almost 99% of tariffs between the EU and Vietnam. ASEAN and India signed the ASEAN-India Trade in Goods (TIG) agreement on 13 August 2009 in Bangkok, after six years of negotiations. The signing of the ASEAN-India Merchandise Trade Agreement paves the way for the creation of one of the world`s largest free trade agreements: a market of nearly 1.8 billion people and a combined GDP of $2.8 trillion.
